Welcome to my waterwise home.

There are over one million homes in south-east Queensland and each of these uses about 300,000 litres of water each year from the mains supply.

Our home uses one tenth of this. The 'water sensitive design' we planned for our home includes a water supply that runs on rainwater and recycles all grey water and black water (sewage) onsite for garden irrigation.

Our home is open to public inspection of the technologies we use. Our aim is to share what we have learned with our community. We hope this site will help show how to save water without sacrificing the quality of life we all appreciate.
